More from Zambia Mail's TELL ME JOSEPHINE:
'Should I marry a rich old man who is a trader in the village, who can give me sheets on the bed, and dresses? Or shall I have the handsome young man who has no money? Who would you pick, Josephine?'from Barbara Hall (ed.) TELL ME JOSEPHINE, London: Pan Books, 1967
I'd prefer a handsome young one with money! But it all depends whether you want love or sheets when you go to bed.

I must be getting old! Give me sheets every time!
Hmm. Instinct would tell me go with the young man, but I do like sheets, too. Maybe it would be better to make my own money and buy my own sheets, though.
Sheets, and bang the young man discreetly on the side. No question.
I have an old copy of "Tell Me Josephine" somewhere in the house, reading this reminded me. Barbara Hall and her late husband bought my parents house in Lusaka way back in the late 50s. She writes the book quiz in the Sunday Times(UK paper) magazine every week.
